At the start of my course, I signed up for Estuary, a local photography project led by Jamie Dormer-Durling in collaboration with the Photo Weston programme. It involved a series of guided coastal walks around Weston-super-Mare, where I focused on photographing the landscape and changing environment. The project brought together participants from the local community and gave us the chance to develop our photography skills while contributing to a group exhibition. I submitted a selection of images, and some were chosen by British landscape photographer Jem Southam to be part of the final show. This was the first time my work had been exhibited publicly. I later used some of the same images in a photo book I created as part of my Documentary module, called Echoes of Renewal.
